Sky High pt 1

All athletes want to jump higher. I know I do. Jump higher to dunk a basketball, Moss someone on the football field, or even catch a line drive as it soars over your head as a short stop. There are many keys to improving your vertical jump, and the most simplistic to do that is to start with the basics.

PROPER FORM
You can execute this by having a strong arm swing. Watch the combined and see how the high flyers do it.

FLEXIBILITY
You have got to stay flexible if you really want to be flying. The stretchier those muscles, the more reflex and recoil strength you will have to jump out the gym. Pay special attention to those hip flexors, hamstrings, and glutes as they tend to become very tight.

STRENGTH
Your vert is all about power. Power = force x speed. The stronger you are, the more force you can produce. The more force you can produce, the more power you will create. Build up your max strength with heavy lifts. Ps 8 reps is not heavy, 2-5 is.

So there are your basics, more to come soon! Until then, start stretching those muscles. And always, comment, share, subscribe, follow, and like. Really Healthy Now!
